Job responsibilities
- Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding on steel and other approved metals
- Weld ship hull components, frames, brackets, supports and metal assemblies
- Prepare metal surfaces, joints and components before welding
- Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Follow workplace health, safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain welding equipment and report technical problems

- Able to pass a practical skills test
- Trade certificate or licence preferred
- Qualified tradespeople with proven experience
